How many kisses for Emraan in RTMC?

After being a 'bad boy' on screen, Emraan Hashmi turns painter in his forthcoming horror flick Raaz-The Mystery Continues. TWF correspondent Sreya Basu catches up with the actor over ghosts, painting and of course, kisses.

Do you enjoy horror films?

Very much. I was addicted to horror films since the age of seven-eight. In fact, I preferred horror films to masala ones. It feels great watching a horror film, you watch it and then you are so scared that you need someone to escort you to the loo.

Do you believe in ghosts?

Yes, I am a believer. Though I have not seen a ghost myself. I am scared of ghosts and darkness.

Is RTMC a continuation of the earlier Raaz?

It's a completely different story. It could have been called anything. But Raaz became so popular that we decided to stick to it for marketing purposes.

What's your character in the film.

I play Prithvi, a painter who can see the future. One day he paints a girl who has a life threat. He sets out to find the girl. He tries to protect her life and this sets the story rolling. And before you ask, there are no kisses for me in the film.

We heard you took painting lessons for it...

Yes. I started a course more on a painter's body language than painting from artist Shailesh Achrekar.

While Aamir and SRK are getting six and eight pack abs, don't you feel like doing it too?

I won't do anything because others are doing it.

The recent buzz in the industry is that you are claiming Rs 4 crore a film...

Can't give you the exact figure, but all I have to say is I don't calculate so much. I charge what I feel I deserve. I am lucky that all my films, except my debut film Foothpath, has been commercially successful, if not big hits.
